Important Traffic Updates: Tetteh Quarshie Interchange Bridge Expansion Underway.
The Ghana Highway Authority has announced revised temporary traffic management measures as work continues on the expansion of the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange bridge on the N1 Highway.

The Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) has announced temporary traffic changes to support ongoing bridge expansion works at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange.
As part of the project, the southbound carriageway from Madina to Accra, which normally carries four lanes, will be temporarily reconfigured to allow two lanes in each direction. The measure is designed to ensure that vehicles can continue traveling between Accra and Madina while construction is underway.
The Authority has urged motorists to avoid the area where possible, observe traffic signs, cooperate with traffic management officers, and plan their journeys in advance.
To help ease congestion, alternative routes have been recommended:
Liberation Road to Tema: Use the Airport Bypass through Flowerpot Junction before merging onto the motorway toward Tema.
Heading to East Legon: Take the Airport Bypass and continue through the East Legon underpass.
From J.J. Rawlings Road: Turn right at Gulf House, continue along GIMPA Road to Fiesta Royale Hotel Junction, then turn left onto George Bush Highway, pass Villagio, and proceed to Liberation Road.
From Tema along N1 Highway: Pass through Tetteh Quarshie Interchange to Fiesta Royale Hotel Junction, turn left onto North Airport Road, continue past Africa Regent Hotel, and join Liberation Road.
The GHA apologised for any inconvenience caused by the temporary measures and appealed to the public for patience and cooperation as work progresses to improve traffic infrastructure in the capital.
