Second state witness tell court Kwabena Adu Boahene Financed Special Operation

The second state witness in the GHC49.1 million cybersecurity deal involving former National Signals Bureau Director has told the Accra High Court that Kwabena Adu Boahene prefinanced special operations for the National Security.

The second state witness in the GHC49.1 million cybersecurity deal case involving FORMAL SIGNAL BUREAU DIRECTOR ,Kwabena Adu boahene ,has told the Accra High Court that he sometimes prefinanced special operation for National Security. Adu  Boahene and his wife,Angela Adjei Boahene, are facing several changes including stealing, money laundering and causing financial loss to the state.

During proceeding on Wednesday, defense lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea, while cross examine the prosecution second witness, Ruby Adumoah, stated that the GHC49.1 million used to acquires  cybersecurity software  had been approved by the late National Security Coordinator, Joshua Kyeremaeh. The lawyer presented three cheques signed by both Kyeremeh and Adu Boahene, suggesting the funds were meant to support national security operation which witness confirm.

Ruby Adumoah, who is the HEAD of Finance at the National Signal Bureau, also told the court that the Adu Boahene had on several occasions used his own funds to support urgent operation before official funds were release. She added that some of the refinanced money was later delivered to her by individual including Mildred Donkor and Frank Anane Dekpey for operational use. The case has been adjourned to March 17 and 18 for continuation of the cross examination.
