GoldBod has signed a GHC27.5 million agreement with the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) to carry out geological investigations in the Funsi, Atuna, and Bensere East areas. This marks the first phase of a broader collaboration between the two institutions.
According to GoldBod’s Chief Executive, Sammy Gyamfi, the initial phase will run for four months and focuses on three mineralized blocked-out areas, which are part of 20 sites recently released to GoldBod by the Minerals Commission of Ghana.

“This agreement is a significant move towards supporting responsible and data-driven mining in the country,” Gyamfi said, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
Through initiatives like this, GoldBod aims to promote sustainable mining practices while maximizing national gold output for the benefit of Ghanaians.
