Aduana Stars Confirm Death of Dominic Frimpong After Armed Robbery Attack
Club officials visit Assin Dansame to console family as 20-year-old forward’s belongings are handed over following tragic shooting incident

Management of Aduana Stars have officially informed the family of their player, Dominic Frimpong, of his death following a fatal armed robbery attack.
A delegation led by Chief Executive Officer Collins Atta Poku visited Assin Dansame to deliver the heartbreaking news and console the bereaved family.
Frimpong, a 20-year-old forward who was on loan at Berekum Chelsea, was reportedly shot by masked gunmen while returning from a match in Samreboi on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
During the visit, the club symbolically handed over his camp bag containing personal belongings, a gesture that left family members and sympathisers in deep grief.
According to the club CEO, the bag was presented in its original state in line with instructions from club owner and Dormaahene, Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II.
Aduana Stars also conveyed condolences from the football fraternity, including the Ghana Football Association, through Central Regional FA Chairman Otieku Duncan.
He assured the family of full support as investigations into the incident continue.
The player’s body has been deposited at the Berekum Government Hospital morgue, with funeral arrangements expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
